Emotional Response are pleased to release the label's debut, Alan Hurst's Voodoo inspired soundtrack, Nzambi.
The work of multi-instrumentalist Jason Letkiewicz, the man behind numerous acclaimed projects - Steve Summers (Clone/Future Times), Innergaze (Minimal Wave/Cititrax) and Malvoeaux (100% Silk/L.I.E.S).
Jason’s many faces are finally finding the recognition they deserve and here we see him return again to his soundtrack / library project, Alan Hurst
Using original source material from a commission from Vice for a documentary on modern Haitian Voodoo, Nzambi takes the nascent influences of John Carpenter and Goblin to produce an album full of brooding, deep hypnotic rhythms and uncertain soundscapes. vHinting at a darkness not seen in Jason’s previous work.
We present the Nzambi - the self-existent who sees and knows all.
