Khan’s top quality house project Captain Comatose gets the Playgroup treatment, a Munk remix and a Pink Monkey remix!! Heading the 12” is Playgroup’s Trevor Jackson who steps up with a solid version, heavy kicks, a fat analogue bassline and those Captain Comatose vocals that deliver a catchy vocal, an ace and pretty heavy number. Munk drop a mix of last single, ‘$100’ which they turn into a lo-fi 80’s affair, with muddy drums and quite detuned vocals, while Khan’s partner Snax delivers a very upfront and fresh club version of ‘Don’t Come Back’ which instantly reminded me of Dexter’s remix of the ill-fated Fischerspooner hit ‘Emerge’.
