Originally released by J Rolando aka The Aztec Mystic at the end of the 90s, the Knights Of The Jaguar EP has been credited to Underground Resistance (UR) ever since a 2005 reissue. Whoever’s behind this thing, what’s for certain is that both ‘Jaguar’ and ‘Ascension’ are some of the most colourful techno jams to have ever come out of Detroit. The slinky rhythms of the former help to bolster its stirring cinematic synths while ‘Ascension’s looping fourth-world groove is positively dreamy.
